What Domperidone 10mg Tablets are and What They are Used For :

• The name of your medicine is Domperidone 10mg Tablets.
• Domperidone is an anti-emetic which can stop you feeling sick.
• The active ingredient is domperidone maleate.
• Each tablet contains 10mg domperidone as domperidone maleate.

Domperidone is used to treat :

• Nausea and vomiting
• Complaints of the stomach, which occur with delayed emptying of the stomach. This can result in symptoms such as feeling full (during or just after eating), bloating, belching, nausea, heartburn and stomach ache.

Before You Take Domperidone 10mg Tablets :

• Important information about one of the ingredients in your medicine
• These tablets contain lactose monohydrate. If you have been told by your doctor that you have an intolerance to some sugars, contact your doctor before taking this medicinal product.

Do Not Take Domperidone 10mg Tablets if You :

• Have ever had an allergic reaction to domperidone or any of the other ingredients listed in section 6, Further Information
• Have or think you may have a serious intestinal problem such as internal bleeding (symptom being persistent black bowel motions), or an obstruction or perforation of the stomach or intestine (usually this involves severe stomach cramps)
• Suffer from a tumour of the pituitary gland called prolactinoma

What is Erlonat?

Erlonat containing the active ingredient erlotinib is considered a kinase inhibitor type of medication. It works by blocking the actions of certain proteins in the body to interfere with the growth of cancer cells and slows their spread in the body. It is mainly used to treat non-small lung cancer in patients when chemotherapy medications have not been effective. It can also be used along with other medications to treat pancreatic cancer that has spread to other areas of the body.

How is Erlonat used?

Erlonat is usually taken orally once per day or as directed by a doctor. The medication should always be taken on an empty stomach at least 1 hour before or 2 hours after a meal. Dosage will depend on the patient's condition and their response to the therapy, contact a doctor for the correct dosage and length of treatment. The tablets should be taken whole and not crushed, split or broken as the medication may be dangerous if it gets on your skin.

Adverse effects

Patients using Erlonat may encounter unwanted side effects such as :

• Nausea
• Vomiting
• Upset stomach
• Diarrhea
• Dry skin
• Loss of appetite
• Mouth sores

Contact a doctor immediately should side effects persist or encounter more severe side effects such as :

• Easy bleeding or bruising
• Jaundice
• Unusual fatigue
• Signs of infection
• Black, bloody or tarry stools
• Eye irritation or pain
• Vision or speech problems
• Shortness of breath

Warnings :

• Immediately proceed to your nearest emergency department if you suffer an allergic reaction. Symptoms usually associated with such a reaction include difficulty breathing or swallowing, chest tightness, swelling, skin rashes, and hives.
• Erlonat is not always suitable for all patients. Always consult your health care provider prior to using this medication if you are pregnant, breastfeeding, trying to conceive, using any other medication (prescription or non-prescription), using any herbal products or supplements, or if you have any allergies or other health problems.

Important warnings :

• Severe diarrhea warning - Rabeprazole raises your risk of severe diarrhea. This diarrhea is caused by infection of the intestines by bacteria (Clostridium difficile). Talk to your doctor if you have watery stool, stomach pain, or a fever that doesn’t go away.

These can include muscle spasms, abnormal heart rhythms, or seizures.

CLE and SLE are autoimmune diseases. Symptoms of CLE can range from a rash on the skin and nose, to a raised, scaly, red or purple rash on certain parts of the body. Why it's used

• Rabeprazole is used to treat several gastrointestinal (GI) conditions. These include:
• Heartburn and other symptoms related to gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD). GERD occurs when acid in your stomach backs up into your esophagus (the tube that connects the mouth to the stomach). This can cause a burning feeling in the chest or throat, a sour taste in the mouth, or burping.
• Duodenal ulcers (sores in the first part of the small intestine), including ulcers caused by the bacterium H. pylori.
• Conditions that cause the stomach to make too much acid. These include a rare condition called Zollinger-Ellison syndrome.
• Rabeprazole may be used as part of a combination therapy. This means you may need to take it with other medications. When rabeprazole is used to treat an infection caused by the bacterium H. pylori, it’s used in combination with two antibiotics. These are amoxicillin and clarithromycin.

How it works

• Rabeprazole belongs to a class of drugs called proton pump inhibitors. A class of drugs is a group of medications that work in a similar way. These drugs are often used to treat similar conditions.
• Rabeprazole works by reducing the amount of acid produced in your stomach.

Rabeprazole side effects :

• Rabeprazole oral tablet doesn’t cause drowsiness. However, it can cause other side effects.
• More common side effects

The more common side effects of rabeprazole can include :

• Headache
• Pain in the abdomen (stomach area)
• Sore throat
• Gas
• Infection
• Constipation
• Diarrhea

Serious side effects

  • Dizziness
  • Irregular or fast heartbeat
  • Jitteriness
  • Tremors (jerking movements or shaking)
  • Muscle weakness
  • Spasms of the hands and feet
  • Cramps or muscle aches
  • Spasm of the voice box, with symptoms such as trouble breathing, coughing, wheezing, hoarse voice, or throat tightness

• Severe diarrhea (caused by infection with C. difficile). Symptoms can include :
  
  • Watery stool
  • Stomach pain
  • Fever

• Cutaneous lupus erythematosus (CLE). Symptoms can include :
  
  • Rash on the skin and nose
